Nostran Development Corp. focuses on the activities of an African-American real estate developer, Phillip E. Nostran, of Spencerville, North Carolina. Nostran was the founder of a variety of companies, two of which are discussed in this case: real estate developer, a residential real estate developer, and Nostran Property Development Corp., a commercial real estate developer. Each company faced specific development opportunities and impediments. Decisions and recommendations need to be made about future development activities for both companies, including projects, marketing, and financing.
